Nine Watercolors Are Now Available: A Peek Inside My Latest Collection

There’s something exciting happening in my little corner of the studio.

I’ve recently added nine watercolor paintings to my website, making them newly available to collect. Some are brand-new paintings, while others are pieces I created some time ago but am now offering for the first time.

I love the idea that a painting can have a life beyond the moment it was created. Sometimes a piece sits quietly in my studio until I know it’s ready to find its person.

And right now, there are seven of them waiting.

A Little Bit of Everything

This newely listed paintings include quite a variety of subjects.

There’s a Mandevilla, with its delicate details. There are two watercolor landscapes, inspired by the peaceful places and natural beauty that so often find their way into my work.

There’s even a Wolverine and a painting of a lion that I created quite a while ago.

I love that these pieces are all so different. Watercolor allows me to explore so many things that inspire me—from animals and flowers to mountains, water, and quiet moments in nature.

And Then There’s Dew Drops

The newest painting in the collection is one of my favorites.

Dew Drops is a beautiful rose illuminated by soft, glowing light, with tiny drops of water resting delicately on the petals.

I loved painting the way the light interacts with the flower and the little droplets. There’s something almost magical about those tiny details—the way they catch the light and make an ordinary moment feel extraordinary.

This is one of those paintings that made me slow down and really look.

A New Rhythm in the Studio

I’ve also been working toward a new creative rhythm: painting approximately one new watercolor each week.

That doesn’t necessarily mean every painting will be finished and listed within exactly seven days. Some paintings take longer, and some ideas need time to develop.

But having that goal encourages me to keep painting.

It gives me a reason to sit down with my paints, explore new subjects, and continue growing as an artist.

After spending so much time creating commissioned work and larger projects, I’m really enjoying having regular time to create paintings simply because I’m inspired by them.

Finding the Right Home

One of the bittersweet parts of being an artist is letting paintings go.

After spending hours with a piece, I become attached to it. I know every little detail because I’ve painted each one.

But ultimately, paintings are meant to be lived with.

I love imagining one of these pieces hanging in someone’s home, becoming part of their everyday surroundings—a little bit of beauty they get to see again and again.

So, nine paintings are now available, and more are on the way.

I’m excited to see which ones find their new homes.
